If so it seems to me then the label anti Semite has been stretched as thin as being called racist.
Europeans are very different than conservative Americans on Israel as a rule even conservative European acknowledge some legitimacy of grievance to the opposing side in the Israeli conflict
I tend to support Israel for non religious reasons....in that I like the Israelis I’ve known and worked with
However I’ve also worked with catholic Arabs living in the Holy Land at the time of partition and Hagganah and Ergun who did indeed lose their lands and property and did indeed suffer under the military onslaught of the Jewish forces in the war for Israeli land and independence
And I understand war is hell and what not but some of these Catholic Arabs I know were victims pure and simple
So acknowledging that .....by some here is anti Semitic I reason
I also know Israelis who fought in that war(s) and 1967 and their kids Yom Kippir and don’t dispute that some Arabs were dealt with poorly
I think this is what fuels moderate European sympathy for “Palestinians”
