O’Connor is still alive.
Sandra Day (the first woman - nominated by a REPUBLICAN) had retired, and so wasn’t a government official when she passed away. Ruth Buzzy hung on bitterly until the very end.

O’Connor brought her dementia husband to work. Then retired to Care for him. He got so bad she put him in a Care facility where he fell in love with another patient. He didn’t remember his wife.
Wait, they didn’t give O’Connor recognition? Why?
