Actor Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in 2004s The Passion of the Christ, said writer/director Mel Gibson has written a forthcoming sequel.
Mel Gibson just sent me the third picture, the third draft. Its coming, he told Breitbart. Its called The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection. Its going to be the biggest film in world history.

Exactly, and those days were extremely important in showing Christ's Deity.
Doubting Thomas comes to mind and countless others who witnessed the Risen Christ and then BELIEVED!
Fantastic film and cast
My whole family didn’t see it because of the “gore”.
I pointed out that Mel intentionally held back and that the reality was much worse than he showed.
Everyone should get an idea of the agony He endured for us.
Well, Christ is supposed to be a socialist, liberals tell us.
Maybe He didn’t die right in the original?
Great story. Proud of your dad.
Same in theaters, here.
Total stunned silence broken only by quiet sobs here and there.
It made you get it.
To be fair, there is a lot of information in the Gospels that could be covered, like in between His death and His resurrection and what we He was doing during the time before His ascencion.
That could take two hours.
I look forward to that.
He was an awesome dude and I miss him desperately.
It's hard to see.
Me too.
I have both DVDs of the movie, regular and widescreen and got myself a theater poster that is huge.
It really hit me.
Well, there is a pretty big follow up scene that has yet to occur.
Nothing he did was without a reason.
Ha ha great story. I’m with your dad but Jesus had to walk that walk for our salvation and by His stripes we are healed.
It’s just me, I really don’t like seeing people hurt and suffering which is why I went in to medicine. I even have a hard time around Passover and His crucifixion but I enjoy resurrection day.
After decades of listening to pastor give details( as well they should) over and over it’d really tough for me and I find myself tuning out.
Gibson is a genius, so I am looking forward to seeing this. He understands concepts like the pecking order. OK how many people do? They just think they do.
Will this one also be based on the writings of the satanic rites priestess who wrote “The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ (1833).” Yea, she was a nun . . . and a witch.
Book of Acts, Acts of the Apostles, to-matoes To-mottoes
Ahhh — he didn’t do Easter in the original. I thought he did. My bad.
He knew that too or he wouldn’t have agreed with me.
His anger got the better of him.
Bizarrely, that is probably one of the best memories I have of him.
That, and his sage advice “Ya gotta keep laughing or ya might start screaming”.
Words to live by.
:)
LOL!! Keanu Reeves should play Jesus!
Very touching remark.
