Cantaloupe would cleanse the colon, heart, arteries & blood"In 1955, the New Hampshire State Hospital had 6000 beds. Now it has 135.
Were there more crazy people THEN than there are NOW?
No'me sayin'?

Cantaloupe?
Oh yuck.
The watermelon is great and I could get the papaya down but Cantaloupe is just plain gross.

Many years ago I took a psychology course about strange obsessions that some people suffered. One guy was was focused on his bowels. He was always ‘cleansing’ them. Strange diets, enemas, high colonicshe kept searching for the ultimate cleansing. At one point he either ate sand or somehow created a sand-based enema. It required surgery to correct.
Reading into the second paragraph took me back a half-century to the psych class. I guess some people mind’s just go in really strange directions.

Pretty color. The good part ends there. I don’t like any kind of melon.
And somehow I’m very very healthy.

How does your body compensate for the lack of protein?
Also, not all amino acids are created equal, so it is possible that melon proteins do not supply some essential amino acids.

Scoop of vanilla ice cream in a half cantaloupe. The best.

Getting sick from the melons was my experience. My doctor said I got E. coli. Melons like cantaloupe, with their rough skins, need to be washed with dish detergent, a scrub brush and a thorough rinse. That way, when you cut them open, no contamination is carried by the knife to the inside.
