Television ratings for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals continued a trend downward for the NBA this season, with the Miami Heat's win over the Boston Celtics averaging just 3.48 million viewers.
As noted by Jon Lewis of Sports Media Watch, that was a 21 percent drop from last season's East finals Game 2 between the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks -- and the least-watched East finals Game 2 since 2003.

"This continues a troubling trend for NBA playoff viewership, and the sports-starved audience that the league believed would be there when they returned from the pandemic has not materialized," Glasspiegel opined.

There are YouTube channels that get more video views than the NBA for video games and travel. If you look at the accumulated hours that ESPN and other channels devote to the NBA, it makes zero sense considering the amount of viewers. It is just boring basketball, politics and personalities aside. The problem is the networks and online resources fun the NBA like a political party, regardless of ratings. So no matter how good I feel about their ratings tanking, it isn’t effecting them financially (yet, atleaset)
65,853,514 voted for Hillary in 2016 so that's the fan base for NBA right now. I guess that's still enough for them to make money.

Or like NASCAR banning the Confederate flag and going “woke”. But in all honesty, there is a huge largely untapped audience for the sport of auto racing.
Every real police show has the criminal chased by a dozen cop cars, a helicopter and five other agencies who says after capture,”I almost got away!”. Their extreme hubris over their driving prowess should be an easy draw with the new woke product.

I watched the Stars beat TB 4-1 tonight in game one. I was watching the Rangers in L.A. at the same time, just switching back and forth. Cowboys at home v. Falcons at noon tomorrow. I DO refuse to watch any of the racist NBA games.
...It seems to me that your main reason for coming to FR is to bash all sports teams in the DFW Metro area.
