Re: Twitter rumor: If Lee, Cruz, or Cotton were nominated what they could be instantly seated, no advice and consent needed. Probably BS but one wonders, after Trump recently added those three names to his shortlist.

I think the tradition is that there wouldn’t be hearings - it would just go straight to up or down vote. Still advice and consent, but without the craziness.

Since Amy pretty recently had hearings and was appointed, I wonder if the hearings could be avoided or curtailed if she is the nominee?
