If Manchin had voted in favor of Kavanaugh, I might have hope he would cross the line again. He didn’t, so we have his answer on the next Trump nominee. He’s not to be counted on.

you may be right. Manchin is a sure fired “stick up yer finger into the wind” kind of politician. He was voted against Kavanaugh because his vote was not the deciding vote. I suspect that he would have voted for him if his vote was necessary. I think it is the case here. He might just voted with the GOP is his vote matters and is highlighted. Manchin has so little convictions that he would be a great uber liberal if he was a senator in IL or NY.
