I had been thinking ACB, but Kavanaugh got 51 votes and that wasn't right before an election. Murkowski is already a no and Collins, Romney and Sasse are looming. That means you need to hold 1 out of 3 of them and every other Republican + Pence. I don't see any Democrats breaking ranks on this.
Much as I hate to say it, I think the Democrats have a fair chance to block this nomination, and if that were to happen, I want the optics to look absolutely horrible for them as possible. Nothing could be worse for them than watching them berate a black man or woman in the hearings and vote against them while asking black people to vote for them on election day. That might be enough to pressure some Democrats to confirm.
Of course, Cocaine Mitch is 2/2 in Supreme Court pics and knows his conference better than anyone, so hopefully he can counsel the president on the best selection.

My thought is that Britt Grant, 11th CCA, age 42, is an ideal nominee for President Trump. Let the Leftists oppose her confirmation at their peril.
It’s still too soon to know what will happen, as far as the timing of confirmation hearings, and an actual Senate vote.
Things could change, based on whether they vote before the election, or if it becomes a vote by the lame duck Senate, after the election.
Things could change too, if Biden wins the election, but we still have a lame duck Senate controlled by the GOP.
The key dates are, Election Day November 3rd, the newly elected Senators take office January 3rd.
Lets dispense with the delusion that there’s anyone President Trump could pick that would be acceptable by both his base and Democrats. There isn’t. Liberals will attack a female black nominee with as much vigor and vitriol as they attacked Kavanaugh and they won’t care how it makes them look.
Republicans need to grow the balls it takes to confirm the types of candidates that people who control both the White House and Senate would pick and stop trying to extend olive branches to people who hate them. Pick a judge based on his or her merit.
