Well, why would any police get involved with this situation? Can’t use a gun, he’s got only a knife. </s>. Basically, taking any risk now for a cop involves their freedom and the future of their entire family. The only weapon I’d use in this situation as a cop is a phone and maybe a bullhorn, and then just wait for the situation to resolve itself.
