A YOUNG woman who deliberately sliced her hand off with a circular saw so she could claim a £925,000 insurance payout has been jailed.
Julija Adlesic, 22, from Ljubljana, Slovenia, hatched a macabre plot with her boyfriend to chop off her left hand above the wrist and then leave it at home when they went to the hospital so it could not be reattached.

She got five different insurance policies...
She claimed that she got hurt while sawing branches...
Her hand was eventually reattached...
Not the smartest
It’s not a haircut, it won’t grow back.
Did it work? Don’t policies have clauses that you can’t do it yourself?
Couldn’t she have taken insurance out on her husband and offed him, like more forward-thinking women?
She chose poorly.
She needs a good uplifting boyfriend over twice her age like me.
Given all the trouble she went through, I’m almost tempted to say that this might be the one exception to the rule that fraud should be punished with a prison sentence. It seems to me that this ordeal was punishment enough.
She’s much cuter than she is smart.
I hear that.
It’s who she IS.
If she’d cut off her breasts and paraded around as a man, the insurance company would’ve PAID for the procedure.
Another criminal mastermind.
I think the guy is even more scummier than the girl.
Hey, give her a hand!
It would be less likely to have been questioned if it had been the boyfriend.
Youll never catch my wife trimming trees. Thats a mans job (typically).
Cute, but a silly bitch, at least she can’t be on her cell phone yakking with her friends while she’s giving you a hand job.
OMG, did I just say that? In retrospect I realize that was a very un-PC comment. Apologies in advance. I promise not to giggle while I refill my Jim Beam and Coke.
Though one does have to wonder just what they are feeding these healthy young Slovenian girls.
“Its not a haircut, it wont grow back.”
You’d be surprised what will grow back. My younger brother had his thumb snipped off in a car door hinge, the year was about 1959. Five or six years later he’d grown a new thumb. The new thumb is about a half inch shorter than the original, but it’s fully functional.
lol. :)
