In my professional opinion, any study results from a pharmaceutical company paid for research project is highly suspect and should not be relied upon unless verified by independent research that has no vested interest in the outcome. As I tell the drug reps, show me one patient who lived a day longer because he (or she) took fish oil, or whatever drug they are pushing. I’ve become very skeptical in my advanced age!

Fish oil supplements are a waste of money per my cardiologist. I stopped taking then a few years back and I am 16 yrs post CABG and my studies look great taking generic Creston and at least a glass of Cabernet a day.

The plaque reduction study was Independent, it was not ran by Amarin.

Same situation as you...16y. About 7-8y ago I realized my glass could. Handle a half bottle of cab....so I only drink 2 glasses a day. Numbers this year have improved over last year on echo.
Everything in moderation. Live life and enjoy.

Yes- these are the best ones. Sardines are cheap, delicious and readily available.

I take Norwegian fish oil, Carlon’s. It’s liquid and burp free!

It helps increase the oil output in tears so they evaporate slower. Great for dry eyes.

In the fish industry, you need to carry your personal DNA tester into restaurants to determined really WTH you’re eating!

I take an omega-3 supplement myself and recommend them to my patients, especially if they do not love to eat fish.

“In other words, “we don’t know WTF we’re talking about.”

Generally, yes, when talking blood chemicals and assuming you change “we” to “they”.

They’re slowly figuring out that they’re TOTALLY WRONG, but ‘professional pride’ prevents them from quickly correcting themselves.

Sardines, yum, on a saltine with a little mayo and tobasco. The little ones are best, a dozen per can, the bigger ones are not so good. In my opinion. I eat them all the time, Crown Prince in olive oil are my favs. I want to try fresh grilled, haven’t done it yet.

Funny thing, I like most sushi, and seafood, but fish...guess I was burned out growing up as a strict catholic.

My ophthalmologist ( a relative) recommended them to me for dry eyes. I took them for years.

A while back he said it was determined to no longer be helpful.

Our dogs love them and the vet approves.

I really got into the dry eyes bit with my doc. They gave me the photos and explained how dry eyes occur. Once the damage is done, it is irreversible.

Post cataract surgery, I use Systane ultra lubricant drops...they're in a little vial and can be used 1 to 4 times for 24 hours.

They're oily and makes your eyes comfortable. Works for me.

I eat salmon and tuna a couple times a week...always have.

My husband’s insurance decided to no longer pay most of the Lovanza price. He has used a GoodRX card, or GoodRX can be found on the web browser for a number to present to a pharmacy, and he found the best price at a different local pharmacy and it is cheaper than the co-pay he was paying. He had to get the prescription over to the pharmacy for them to be able to fill it. Turned out the next refill he needed was still cheaper at the same pharmacy so it was even easier.
