The late Dr. Robert Mendelsohn wrote a series of books in the 70's which were exposes of the medical establishment. Confessions of a Medical Heretic was one of his most noted works.

One of his later works compared psychological profiles of men who went into the OB-GYN specialty and men serving prison time for rapes, and found them disturbingly similar.

But they continue to revel in their Ben Casey image and refuse to own their crap.
