A BALLERINA from the world famous Bolshoi Theatre was dismembered and dissolved in sulphuric acid after a blackmailer threatened to reveal nude photos, cops believe.
Russian detectives are reported to be following a new lead in a long-running probe into the disappearance of dancer Olga Demina, 25, six years ago.
Olga is believed to have been killed after she was the victim of a sting operation by a man possessing "sexually compromising" pictures of her.
Malkhaz Dzhavoev, 40, variously described as the dancers manager and lover, has been named as the prime suspect.
He was detained in Moscow in 2017 after he was extradited on an Interpol warrant from Germany where he had fled from Russia, posing as a Kurdish refugee.
He was recently jailed for five and a half years for fraud involving a flat belonging to the ballerinas boyfriend Alexey Fetisov, and he is also suspected of Olgas murder.

Can’t afford her.
I had a Russian co-worker about 20 years ago, really gorgeous. About 5 years later, she had married and had a kid, she wasn't looking so hot. I shudder to think what she looks like now.
The thing with Russian women (and also many other “types”) is that they look amazing for years ... and then suddenly, almost overnight, they become “the Wicked Witch of the East”
There’s a reason many wear a babushka.
I don’t think I saw a beautiful woman ONCE when I spent some time in North Dakota. I even asked a bartender why there were no beautiful women, he retorted, “We have beautiful women here! In fact, we have a name for them! Tourists!”
That’s not how blackmail works. That is how extortion/kidnapping/death threats work.
You write like a man who has never been to Malta.
As the poet once said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But, of course, it is more nuanced than that. In my opinion, the most beautiful woman ever was Ann-Margret.
Except for that girl sitting eight inches from you outside the gym at the dance who turned her head and batted her eyes just so...
...except for that woman who bore your four daughters and stuck with you through thick and thin..and thin.
I appreciate woman at all levels, and it can be multi-faceted.
LOL!
LOL!
touche’
I agree there is much more to it.
I had to look up Ann Margaret though, I’d heard the name but didn’t know what she looked like:)
