Yes. They aren’t finding the amounts of lighter elements that “settled science” says the Big Bang should have created. Not even close.

Then the theories can’t figure out where all the heavy elements came from. 13.5 billion years is not even close to being nearly enough time. Time spans more in the trillions of years would be required.

And then they’ve had to invent undetectable matter and energy to account for the motions of the galaxies. And they talk about dark matter and energy as if it is settled that they exist, yet these have never been observed or detected in any fashion.

Actually there have been no advancements in physics theory since the 70s. Every new theory that has been suggested to explain everything has been unproven. No evidence for any of them at all.

The Hadron supercollider has turned up no new ideas. Yet the physicists expect to be given even more billions to build another larger supercollider so that they might find something.

They are on the wrong track. Relativity cannot be reconciled with the Standard Model for particles. Gravity lies outside any explanation.

It’s time for the blank check to these people to be shut off.

Science takes a looong time between discoveries. If we shunned science it would take even looonger for new discoveries to happen. The meantime between advances should be to prove/disprove theories as this act begets new discoveries.

There's a group of scientists who believe in something called the "Electric Universe" theory which posits that plasmas are a better way to describe what is happening than the current cosmological model.

They mention the dearth of lithium as a major cause of concern for cosmologists.

(Not to mention the dearth of customers as a major cause of concern for cosmetologists thanks to Gavin Nuisance.)
