My daughter on the phone told my wife that a girlfriend just told her that her apartment building is surrounded by Police in the outskirts of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Apparently another Policeman has been shot in the Chest.
Thank God for that. Now it’s the wait for the shooter to come out.
We need some wet work done on Soros, and all of his children.
They never left Ann Arbor. I belive it is the home town of the 1960’s radical SDS.
Dear God,
PLEASE protect our law enforcement officers.
PLEASE put a stop to this intended slaughter of them.
Put a hedge of protection around each and every one of them and their families.
If this officer is still alive, please heal him fully, and have the perp get caught and brought to real justice.
In Jesus Name, Amen!
Harbaugh pissed about the season starting...???
No, but there are quite a few lower-class minorities there. I went to U of M and was accosted by them a number of times...nothing too serious, but they are there.
Yes. The SDS did start in Ann Arbor. ( 1960).
U Mich in Ann Arbor has been a leftist/socialist/radical haven for many decades.
SDS was rooted there. PBS cut its teeth there. Pot flowed/flows freely there. California universities followed UM’s lead.
Columbia University, though, is the cultural Marxists’ U.S. Headquarters, from the early 1950’s, infested by Frankfurt School immigrants.

Yes indeed. And thanks.
Could be Ypsilanti. Just outside Ann Arbor.
I believe that all police officers should be required to wear bullet proof vest while on duty!!
Marxist Central. SDS ruined a lot of lives. I grew up in NYC and they were omnipresent in the colleges and the NYC special high schools. They took over all sorts of events, and one of the other bizarre things was that they were like Mormons...they would baptize you into their cult if they knew your name. There was an SDS meeting near my HS and another student had invited me...I said no, and then a few days later somebody came up to me and said, I didnt know you were SDS, but I saw your name on the list of attendees. This person thought it was great, I did not, but there was no way to get my name off the list.
A lot of people dont realize how pernicious and well organized was SDS, and it was clearly controlled by people way above those who were theoretically in charge of it.
That said, prayers for all the law enforcement and innocent people involved on this standoff.
Boulder and Ann Arbor have always competed for the title of “Berkeley East.”
The deputy, who has not been identified, was hospitalized in stable condition.,p. The barricaded gunman situation brought dozens of officers out to the Oakbrook residential neighborhood in Superior Township, about two miles north of Ypsilanti.Deputies were first called just after 2 p.m. when a neighbor reported that a dispute had erupted in a gunshot. Deputies then drew fire as they approached the scene, said Derrick Jackson, Director of Community Engagement for the department.
"Something happened and one of the neighbors pulled out a weapon and started firing," said Jackson. "That's when we got a call from the neighbor."
The incident happened at a condo in the 8300 block of Lakeview Court near Berkshire. Residents in the Washtenaw County community were asked to remain indoors, with that restriction applying to those in the area bordered by North Prospect Rd, Geddes Rd, East Clark Rd, and North Harris.
The suspect remained in the home and started shooting at deputies when they arrived and started approaching the house. That is when the officer was struck, Jackson said. He was taken to an area hospital by another deputy.
At this time, he said, they are attempting to make contact with the suspect. It was not known if anyone else was in the house.
A witness who was mowing the lawn with a lawn service at the time of the incident said the male resident of the condo was staring at them and then started yelling and brought out a gun to threaten them. Moments later, the witness said, deputies had arrived and the officer was shot while walking across the street toward them. He was hit two times by the shots, which came from the bedroom window of the condo.
A SWAT team was on the scene Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. alongside state police, Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies, Ann Arbor police and undercover vehicles. Three ambulances were also on scene and a police helicopter flew above. Julie Jongeward, 33, lives down the street from the incident, and she said officers revealed to residents that a sheriffs deputy was shot.
They told me someone shot the sheriff deputy and were thinking the gunman either took off because they wont let anyone move or hes still there, she said watching the scene at Berkshire and Sheffield Drive.
They said this area would be blocked of until the rest of the night.
Jongeward has lived in the complex, a mixture of residential homes and condos, for seven years. She said its typically calm.
I usually go walking around this time, lots of bike riders and a quiet neighborhood, she said. Especially, in the newer subdivision. I dont hear of anything. This is not typical.
Jeniffer Roquemore, who lives in a condo on Lakeview Court near the gunman, could not get home Wednesday, saying a fireman wouldnt let anyone in.
Ive lived here for 30 years and nothing like this has ever happened, she said. Its a beautiful place. We live across a large field with deer and its very calm. I have no idea what could have happened.
I had a similar problem with them. ( sds types, not the lds). College administrators need to learn how to kick that kind of Disruptive trash off campus. It definitely doesnt belong there.
They would call strikes and stand and jeer and spit at the people going to class at CCNY, particularly people studying classics or in the humanities, and then they tried to burn down the (on-campus) house of the college president. I dropped out because I couldnt take it.
I have spent most of my life right there, most of Superior Township especially the north 2/3 thirds or so is bucolic and pricey, the bottom 1/3 not as much as it reaches to Eastern University outskirts.
Most likely an unsavory character with mental issues, we shall see.
For sure there will no local looting, burning etc. from nearby residents - and should there be it will be brought in from somewhere else. The shooter may have offed himself anyway and of course the police will be blamed.
We’ll know soon as there are several police departments involved.
“responding to a dispute between neighbors”
Probably over something stupid.
