There are certainly many Freepers who talk about CWII. But when push comes to shove how many of these armchair generals are going to take up arms against the US government, which is better armed? I've been seeing posts about CWII for years on FR. None have come to fruition, and that's a good thing. War of any kind is a bloody business, and civil war is the worst of all. Suppose we "won" CWII then what? There isn't enough ammunition and men willing to use it against the millions of leftists in this country. Antifa would just carry out guerrilla warfare until they toppled the Republic and installed their own dictatorship.

Rule #1 of politics: anything you do to your opponents will be done to you when the shoe is on the other foot.

How many Nazis and Japanese emporer-worshippers, all well-armed, were there? We beat them, despite the great sacrifice in blood, treasure AND THE COST TO OUR SOULS - because it was necessary. If we ever do get to the point of a civil war in this country, there will be plenty of hard-hearted people on our side to finish the job - that’s the nature of what that kind of a war does to people in any culture in any time period that you could mention.

Civil Wars also happen when military forces become at odds with one another. We have that as a distinct possibility this time around.You cannot dismiss it.
