Ratings are down because people don’t like millionaire players who disrespect the country.
I was listening to FOX news in my truck covering the Social Justice thing going on in the NFL, and some sports idiot was telling everyone how last year it was unacceptable by a wide margin, but this year the number have flipped and it IS acceptable to a big majority now.
I just kept thinking “WTH is he talking about, a Washington Times poll is behind all this support and acceptance now?”
Then as the segment ended the main anchorman at the time reminded us that 4 games are being played on FOX today, it all made sense then.
When the analysts were trying to understand why the Kansas City fans were booing the show of unity on Thursday, it just showed how out of touch the MSM is. The fans came to watch football, not some political display. NFL players need to check their politics at the door on game day. Sports should be a refuge from the cares of the world.
People at home watch pro sports to release the anguish of everyday living. Now pro sports is just an extension of this BS.

My friend and her husband are/WERE big football fans. They turned on some game this weekend and saw helmets with BLM, names of Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Marton, etc. They turned it off immediately and said, “Never again!”
What an utter waste of resources.

I had come to the conclusion about 40 years ago. It’s just getting extremely blatant these days.
When they all go broke, the real estate fire sales will be great. Good time to pick up a vacation property.
Unfortunately for the NFL and ESPN even if 65% of people are ok with protests, the loss of 35% of viewers will bankrupt them.
Actually, the viewership numbers are way too high, even with the decrease. Too many people in this country who don’t care about the nonsense the NFL is pulling.
They will manage to keep it up until the people end the purchasing of all professional sports items.
Like shirts, hats, advertised merchandise, etc.
Purchase local sports items-like your high school, etc.
Liberals think it is morally necessary to inject their politics into everything. That it is sinful / racist NOT to make everything liberal / political.
The problem is that many people immerse themselves in entertainment like sports to ESCAPE stress - not be lectured and shamed. Thus everyone but the most “woke” will turn off the TV, because you’ve already poisoned the pleasure of the game for most of the audience.
