The exiled Chinese virologist who fled to the United States to spread the truth about COVID-19 has entered the public spotlight again to expose scientific evidence proving that the coronavirus was concocted in a military Wuhan laboratory.
“It comes from the lab—the lab in Wuhan and the lab is controlled by China’s government," Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a scientist who spearheaded the earliest research into the novel virus, told British talk show “Loose Women" on Friday in an exclusive video interview from an undisclosed location.
She claimed that widespread reports alleging that the deadly virus originated from a wet market in Wuhan are “a smokescreen.”
“The first thing is the [meat] market in Wuhan…is a smokescreen and this virus is not from nature,” Yan asserted, citing “her intelligence from the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] in China, from the local doctors.”
Yan's former supervisors at the Hong Kong public health laboratory sciences division—a World Health Organization infectious diseases research center—had silenced her when she sounded the alarm about viral transmission in December last year.
Professor Leo Poon, Yan's superior, assigned the scientist to investigate a mysterious cluster of SARS-like virus cases that were cropping up in the Wuhan area. By January, Yan learned that the family of clusters was due to human-to-human contraction and that other Chinese scientists had successfully sequenced the COVID-19 genome.
In April, Yan escaped Hong Kong and sought refuge in America to raise awareness about the pandemic. She arrived in Los Angeles, pleading with border authorities and recounting her backstory.
Now she is planning to release scientific proof that the virus spawned inside a lab in Wuhan.
“The genome sequence is like a human fingerprint,” she stated on the talk show. “So based on this you can identify these things. I use the evidence…to tell people why this has come from the lab in China, why they are the only ones who made it.”
Yan added that anyone despite biological knowledge can read, check, and verify on their own accord.
“This is the critical thing for us to know the origin of the virus,” she said. “If not we cannot overcome it, it will be life-threatening for everyone.”
Before fleeing from China, her records were allegedly wiped from government databases.
“They deleted all my information,” she said on camera, professing that operatives have since been recruited “to spread rumors about me, that I’m a liar.”
Yan's friends have reportedly been threatened and interrogated by communist party officials since her departure, according to News.com.au. She left behind her husband and child. Her loved ones were forced to denounce Yan as a traitor.
“I know if I don’t tell the truth to the world, I will be regretful," Yan urged.
This comes as WHO has deliberately spread disinformation and suppressed crucial facts about the contagion, bowing to Beijing's insidious influence.
