The thing here is this.
The SR 71 was developed and flown way back in the late 50s to early 60s. It had control systems that were not available to commercial air systems till the 80s. Even control systems that took years to develop in NASA.
Now anyone care to challenge on what they have developed since, and are in the process of developing? It advanced so fast that it begs the question-where in the hell did they get those things so fast?
Civilians haven't a clue.
