This guy gets it, and slams the "woke" NFL.
It sounds like the players got their “moment of ‘unity’”, but not quite the way they wanted.
Get your politics out of my entertainment.
Otherwise, I'll spend my money and time and ratings elsewhere.
(I didn't know that my beloved Chiefs won until this morning, two days later. I won't even go to ESPN anymore.)
Many of us believe in a merit based society and that things like 9-11 are why we stand for our national anthem and salute the American Flag. We want politics out of sports and believe that protests are welcome but they should take place off the field. We believe that bad cops should be held accountable just as much as anyone else does. We hate discrimination of any kind, towards any person, regardless of color.
If social justice warriors want to do something more effective to combat bad policing, why don’t more of them try to become police officers and influence the system that way? Become a beat cop in the most crime ridden neighborhoods in say Chicago, New York or Los Angeles? Be the cop who does not use a gun to defend him or herself unless you are 100% certain your own death is a fraction of a second away if you don’t? Try to influence the system from within.
For whites that feel burdened by white privilege, why not assign a monetary value to that privilege and release the burden? If you feel that your privilege makes you, say 25% better off than a black person, then give 25% of your net worth to needy black families. Set aside 25% of your earnings in the future for the same purpose. Perhaps go door to door with a bag of cash throughout poor neighborhoods knocking on doors. If the resident is black, give them some portion of the cash and move on to the next residence, give them some cash, and so on and so on. The benefit and satisfaction will be instant, tangible and real.
Efforts to affect the change many say they want would be much more effective if they lead by example in such ways. Most importantly, these things can be done in a way that does not demand that other people take action inconsistent with their own values and principles.
NFL = National Football LeagueNFL = National Felon League
NFL = Not Fun League
NFL = Not For Long
NFL = No Fans Left
Fans? They had fans?
#boycottNFL
A business that has gotten so big that they don’t care about losing 1/3 of their customers.
Goddell and rest of NFL better wake up to fact that Sports Fans don’t want Politics in their games. Hope they wake up before they lose it.
NFL Fans BOO Players During Chiefs & Texans Moment of Unity

Good
Can’t wait to see how far ratings drop this Sunday. Maybe they’ll wake up about being woke.
I should have been glued to the TV - home opener of my favorite team, Super Bowl champions! But all the fun's gone out of it. I watched ZERO minutes of the game.
Next day at work, nobody even mentioned the game or the Chiefs.
Listen, poor downtrodden QB Patrick Mahomes only makes $ 40 million a year, much of it due to tax subsidies for his team and its owner. If you were so poorly treated, you would be as angry at this country as Mahomes is, I’m sure.
End the NFL Tax-Exemption!
I just recd this link. Wow, this video is a must see and share.
AMERICA TO BOYCOTT NFL: A Letter from an Old Soldier
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kcFR_uQwiw
As the 2020 NFL season gets underway, Michael J. Matt reads an open letter written in 2016 by retired Marine Col. Jeffery Powers to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, which has recently reappeared on social media.
Defund the NFL
Defund the NBA
Defund NASCAR
Well said sir!
Fans chant: Football NOT Politics.
I don't spend my money to be lectured to by anyone, let alone undereducated, cognitive-thinking deficient men and women.
When I need a lecture, I get within earshot of my wife.
During the past six months, I've received more lectures from her than I ever thought possible...I knew we were never meant to be together 24/7. Even my kids and grandson tell me she has far too much time on her hands...lol.
The players think that they are on the right side of history. They view themselves as civil rights activists. They are more than willing to endure a few short term sacrifices (money, reputation, etc.) for long term gains. When you’re in a war, the most important person in the world is the person fighting beside you. For the players, it’s their teammates, not the fans.
Moment of unity? A middle finger by any other name ...
