Re-open the churches, re-open the country

Given the court actions against Grace Community Church in Los Angeles and the continuing restrictions against worship in many areas of the country, the time for the church acquiescing to the state is over. This document arrived in my inbox and it provides a specific plan of action that’s worth considering by any pastor or patriot concerned with the growing chutzpah of authoritarians at all levels of government. Feel free to share and spread to anyone, particularly those in positions of authority within your local churches.

_______________

Ten-Four Freedom

On October 4th, 2020, churches will return to God’s design and quit wearing masks while we exercise our freedom of religion.

God has warned us continually that the systems of the world are under the control of the Evil One, Satan. (1 John 5:19) We are blessed in America that our founders, to diminish the power of Satan over us, acknowledged the separation of Church and State in the First Amendment to the Constitution. This right guarantees that the State shall not interfere in the practices of the Church.

Recently, a novel law has been placed upon us: a requirement that masks be worn for our “safety.” (Luke 22:25) This has been accompanied by the forced closure of churches and businesses with the government arbitrarily determining which activities are essential and which are non-essential.

Our Complaint is as follows:

1.) The aftermath of the Fall of Man in the garden of Eden dictates that we must labor. (Genesis 3:19) There is no command in our faith that sickness gives us a reprieve from this reality unless sickness ends in disability or death. Man is designed to work in his God-given vocation as long as he is able.

2.) There is no Biblical precedent of quarantining healthy people from each other. To illuminate a spiritual truth, Jesus states a physical one: "Those who are well do not need a physician." (Mark 2:17) We must be wary of science that determines “health” based on subjective and frequently changing definitions and angles. Not too long ago, people were sent to Auschwitz or Tuskegee by secular scientists under the theory that some people were inferior.

3.) The government frequently claims that the safety of the people is their primary motive. However, many in government who support masks also support abortion. (Psalm 146:3) The number of children murdered this year will far surpass the death toll from any cold or virus, yet we have come to expect that the government will do little, if anything, to stop this slaughter.

4.) Throughout the Bible, it is a consistent expectation that people physically gather together to worship God. (Hebrews 10:25) There is no exemption for “plague.” Earthly trials should motivate us to gather together more frequently, greeting and encouraging each other, sharing and demonstrating God’s love within our own faith community.

5.) The church has preached the gospel publicly in defiance of authorities since our founding in Christ. We are directed to follow earthly laws to a degree, as in Romans 13, but we must obey God first. (Acts 4:18-20) At this very moment, churches around the globe meet in defiance of local governments.

Therefore, we set the date of October 4, 2020, as the date when the church will return to God’s will in faith. The masks that God never required us to wear will be taken off. We will meet in our churches in the numbers that God blessed us with and we will conduct ourselves according to our faith throughout the week.

May the Holy Spirit bless this endeavor. May He bless those who put the teaching of God before the teachings of man. In all things, all honor and glory to Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

______________

One church, such as Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, acting alone can be singled out and persecuted by the state. No government, regardless of how authoritarian it may be, can prosecute hundreds or thousands of churches acting together in legitimate civil disobedience. The representatives of the state that force the wearing of the mask and other restrictions will instead remove their own masks, revealing the tyrant within.

Individual churches starting now is fine. Having a movement is more effective. It takes time to get the word out, get more churches involved, and give more teeth to the action. Plus 10-4 is appropriate for now and just sounds cool.

Oct. 4 is the Feast of St Francis in the Catholic Church...very symbolic! I wish some Catholic bishops would come on board with this. Most of them are total statists, alas, but there are a few it might be worth approaching. It would be nice if we could all strike together for freedom for Christian worship.

Great to see even more symbolism. If the church hierarchy won’t open, are there individual priests or pastors willing to act independently? The more churches taking this step, the more powerful it will be. A unified strike for freedom would be difficult to ignore.

The pols figure it is too soon to reopen the churches. It will be right when people have stayed away long enough that they are used to it and only the elderly will go back. Killing Christianity and Judaism is a priority of the same people who keep the churches closed. They learned from Marx and Lenin.

Sadly, every one of your sentences is 100% correct. They want businesses and churches to stay closed until they’ve stolen the election. These people are truly evil.

If they manage to install Biden and get the Senate the Churches in states that closed them will never reopen and there will be federal laws passed and signed to reclose all the churches that are functioning, even to limited congregations in states like Florida. The take-away from all this is that the Constitution is a dead letter now and observance depends day to day on the good faith of the President. If the communists get control in November we will soon have a major effort to redact out the and Amendment and the First. We can only hope that the meek submission of the population to the WuHan mandates will cause them to move too fast and excite real and massive opposition, armed opposition. If they move slowly and deliberately I have no doubt that they will be entirely successful and the desired population reduction will begin in a couple of years. It will take a sudden onslaught to make the frog leap out of the pot.

Churches are now closed in how many states?

In Missouri, a fairly rational state, restrictions have been delegated to city/county authorities. In St. Louis County, churches are mandated to have masks and be at 25% - 50% occupancy. In Los Angeles, indoor worship has been banned by a judge for a specific church. Does any governmental authority have the Constitutional authority to assault the First Amendment?
