MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) Friends of Albert "AJ" Soles of Tabor City are in shock after Myrtle Beach police say he was shot and killed outside of the Cook Out on North Kings Highway early Friday morning.
"He didn't deserve any of this," Ashley Azzarella said. She said Soles was her best friend.
"I feel like he's the best person I've ever met in my life and been friends with. I'm so lucky to have known him," she said. "He's a huge teddy bear and he would never hurt anybody."
Friends said the death is especially heartbreaking because he had such big plans for his future. He was just 24 years old.
"He wanted to open up his own business and become a welder," James Dunn said.
They said he didn't deserve to die the way he did.
"Shouldn't happen in a public place, shouldn't happen in front of everybody," Alex Giffin said.
Police arrested Niko Juwan Williams in connection to the shooting, which left Soles dead and another person injured.
At Williams' bond hearing on Friday afternoon, police said a verbal altercation led to a physical altercation in the parking lot early Friday morning.

And no, you do not need to look at the mug shot. Another case of B-on-W violence you will not hear about in the lame stream media. The victim was trying to help diffuse a situation and paid the ultimate sacrifice for trying to help.
Black criminality is the greatest obstacle to better race relations in this country. Blacks need to stop killing people and this needs to be discussed.
It's not always "muh racizm."
Stereotypical black murderer. Couldn’t control it’s emotions. Just gotta keep it real no matter the consequences. Go look at the Dave Chappelle skits.
Always conceal carry. Always.

Is it bad that I could tell his racial identity by the clear English spoken by those who were interviewed?

Better yet, don’t get involved when racial groups are arguing. I know the victim wanted to be a peacemaker and I know it was a Christian act, but some groups don’t want peace, they want to see the world burn.
