Thank you. I just got an alert from my city that the air quality is “extremely unhealthy” and may cause heart attacks!
We are inside - with the dogs and cat - with our air filters running and the a/c on - which also has air filters on it. The sky has been glowing orange all day and ash is falling everywhere. It looks like it’s foggy outside but it is from all the smoke.
We all have sore throats. Hope it’s over soon. I heard some people have died in the fire - I’ll send up prayers for them.
I hope your filters are working great. I have portable ones in several rooms, so if we had to, I guess we could put them all in one room and make it better.
We want to get a backup generator in case of electrical outages—our town is on the edge of the Mark Twain National forest. But we had unusually wet weather until mid August and we are about 75 miles from St. Louis so I don’t think we’ll have problems this year.
