[Qiviut]

As of last night, I have a praying mantis hanging out on one of the hummingbird feeders - it's eating ants. There was a bit of a standoff with a hummer & the mantis last night - hummer was buzzing it, feinting at it & the mantis waved an 'arm' at the bird. Things were happening too fast to get a picture - tried, but just got blurs; however, it was fun to watch.

I’ve seen a few Mantis this season - one was in my greenhouse, the other on my chair on the porch where I like to sit and read and watch the clouds.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen them - must’ve been a good year for them with all the rain. ;)
