Now, it’s important to understand that the results of Crystal Shield are over and above, and augment, what I call the "baseline enforcement effort" that’s directed against methamphetamine by the DEA. So, for example, in 2019, the overall effort against methamphetamine by the DEA had resulted in 100,000 pounds of methamphetamine seized and 11,000 defendants charged.
What’s different about Crystal Shield is that it is over and above that, and is also targeting, specifically, the large hubs — city hubs — that are the core of the distribution in the United States. It’s designed to seize it and dismantle the organizations that are involved in its’ distribution before it gets into packages and is distributed."
Note sure if it has been you or someone else, but I’ve come to realize that there is something going on with the DOJ, good news...
I’ve started to follow justice.gov daily
You probably saw the story about the NFL player too huh? Wow.
I can only hope that a DOJ action on some rogue politicians is in the works.
Thanks for all you do Ransom.
WHO are the big manufacturers? HOW are they not being IDENTIFIED and HELD RESONSIBLE? With INTEL agencies up the WAZOO and surveillance systems better than ever...we seem to be horribly lacking in going after the BIGS responsible.
Where are the FBI's 5 most wanted in the world for each calamity...from CoVid & fentanyl to Meth?
Impressive? NOT!
Today we have children being arrested and charged with going to school, or pastors arrested for preaching in churches.
So, how many of those arrested or charged were actually convicted in a trial and sentenced to more than 2 years in prison? How many convictions were overturned or sentence reduced on appeal? How many are still in prison? How many have been released and arrested or charged a second (or third) time?
Let's see those numbers.
This is a serious problem. Meth is coming back in a big way, a lot of it driven by the despair and isolation and family collapse brought on by the shutdown.
Opioids of course are still a problem, which has only gotten worse because of the shutdown.
Thanks to the DOJ and the DEA. Hope to see the effort go all the way to the ends of the trails of dealers and addicts in small towns and rural areas! Thanks for the posts, ransomnote!
