The deputy, Andy Wilson, was working a side job at a business in the industrial park when he reported seeing a large cat rise out of the French Broad River, cross the street and disappear into a dense wooded area, according to Knox County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kimberly Glenn.
"After a brief moment of shock, he realized it really was a tiger," Glenn said. "It went into a thick area of kudzu."
Wilson, who insisted he hadn't dozed off and dreamed the whole thing, reported the tiger to dispatch about 8:30 p.m.,
Cameron said that officials have yet to confirm a tiger sighting, and if there is a tiger on the lam, they don't know where it came from.
Authorities warn that any big cat should be considered dangerous. Anyone who sees the tiger should document it from a safe distance,

Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand, dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand? & what dread feet?
Maybe the tiger can help with our antifa infestation?
Maybe the tiger can help with our antifa infestation?
I have heard that most of then carry communicable social diseases?
Would not want the tiger to become infected.
Police are attempting to lure the beast with bowls of sugared corn flakes in milk.
Oh, thank you authorities. I thought big cats were like friendly, happy and love a tummy rub.
The tiger is in the tank. I doubt this is real but if a full grown Siberian version, hell make the ghost and the darkness look like sissies. Big cats come in low and fast, not much time for holly shit a tiger even if you are carrying a 375 H&H magnum. A real bad cat on the prod is a nightmare on wheels. I think its a hoax but if you live near the location of the sighting better watch your ass.
Time to call Jim Corbett, the World’s all time best tiger hunter. Unfortunately, he passed away in 1955.
Tiger-banging blondes.
I was thinking that that was one mixed up tiger, as the Vols play at Auburn this year, and duck LSU. But then I remembered Missouri, and they do play at Knoxville this fall.
On a more serious note, bobcats around here reach 40-45 pounds, and I wouldn’t expect them to be much smaller there. And while officials deny it, there have been credible resports of mountain lions in the Smokies.
So, did he see the tiger before or after he went out to get high in the kudzu?
“I doubt this is real but if a full grown Siberian version,”
I don’t often read the article, but when I do I can tell who hasn’t:)
Is there any other kind of kudzu? Catouflage.
The Tora at 50 (released Sept 23, 1970):
The tora of the title is the two-syllable Japanese codeword used to indicate that complete surprise had been achieved. Japanese being a language with many homophones, it is a coincidence that tora also means "tiger" (虎).[4]

"coincidence" ?! Some people never catch on!
Hold that tiger, hold that tiger Hold that tiger, hold that tiger
Many homophones:

גו-ג'ו
Well, you do have those people that think bison can be pet...
DONT GET OUTTA THE BOAT! DONT EVER GET OUTTA THE BOAT!
Must be one of those weird hybrid weretigers. Real tigers don’t eat kudzu.
I knew people who owned all kinds of cats, mountain lions, black panthers, ocelots....Some ran, attached to steel cables with a pulley strung from tree to tree across the back area of the property. They trained some of the cats. One was a cougar used on the Lincoln commercials, and appeared to be sitting up on a Lincoln Mercury sign in the commercial. If I’m not mistaken, that cat was partially paralyzed. These folks use to have parties and dress up like cats and you’d see bobcats wandering around the house. Crazy dayz.
No kidding! Saying as a person was once stalked by two mountain lions that got within a few feet of me.
Thanks. A favorite poem
I’m wondering if the tiger said “They’re Great” or helped fill gasoline at Knoxville’s Exxon stations.
