I am uneasy that there enough BLM hidden agents in the support elements of the Army to be able to remove substantial quantities of military grade individual and crew served weapons from base storage areas. If this does start it will probably follow the escalation scenario as more individual become involved and new leaders emerge. In Porfirian Mexico the Army was very small and had less than 150 pieces of artillery of all types. The Rurales were equally small but had a well established reputation for ferocity. The long time commander Emiliano Kosterlisky tried to shape the force on the lines of the Russian Cossack police units. Within a couple years of the corrupted election of 1910 tens of thousands or armed men where battling each other as part of a dizzying array of political and personal armies. There seemed to be not much difficulty for these groups to buy all the arms they had money for. I do not expect this sort of event here , but it is a sobering scenario to ponder.
