Hmmm... his dream was to be eaten by a white lion?

I see this as a metaphor for America’s flirtation with perversion and socialism.

Look at the size of the lions head compared to his.

Like the lion loving author of “Born Free,” killed by a lion.

That’s why I have always tried to have less-hazardous dreams.
To: nickcarraway
Sounds like the lion was living his dream, also.

This is so cool! How many people can claim to be killed by a WHITE lion! This is one for the recordbooks.

I would think an experienced wild animal owner/handler knows to get out of the way of lions getting aggressive with each other immediately-I don’t even know anyone who walks two guard dogs of the same sex together-even domestic animals are unpredictable at times...

A cautionary tale, to be sure. All white lions are not Kimba the White Lion.

Well he was doing what he loved, wasn’t an ignorant amateur, and knew the risks.
Probably lasted a lot longer with them without incident than most would have.

His relatives have said that the attack could have been the result of very rough play.In the end, wild animals are just that...wild. I often play rough with my dog, a 95 pound Rotten Shepherd. Sometimes, it gets out of hand, and she draws a bit of blood from me. At that point, we both dial it down. Lions don't have it within them to "dial it down."
My 10 YO grandson knows not to play rough, he's seen the dog and me get rough...it can be intimidating to a youngster. They're inseparable when they're together. She's very protective of him.

Moral of the story: Never too old for a Darwin award.
To: nickcarraway
Dogs have been domesticated from the original wolf stock over thousands of years, using selective breeding to winnow out traits for ferocity and aggressiveness. They still occasionally lash out and can injure or even kill people.
Any adult lion is vastly stronger and far more dangerous than any dog. And not one lion has undergone any domestication whatsoever. Anyone who chooses to play with lions - well, take out good medical and life insurance policies and keep your ferocious, natural born killers away from other people and good luck to you.
To: nickcarraway
If this could be said of the protesters.
