Chesley Sully Sullenberger III, the retired pilot best known for successfully pulling off the Miracle on the Hudson, tore into President Trump in a series of Twitter posts Friday.
Mr. Sullenberger, who served in the U.S. Air Force before starting his civil aviation career, slammed Mr. Trump over disparaging remarks he reportedly made about service-members.
While I am not surprised, I am disgusted by the current occupant of the Oval Office. He has repeatedly and consistently shown himself to be completely unfit for and to have no respect for the office he holds, Mr. Sullenberger, 69, said on Twitter.

I’ll decide for myself, thank you, Mr Sully.
Shut up and crash.
This guy may be a great pilot under pressure, but must be a complete kool-aid drinker in his personal political life.
Stick to flying planes Sully!
Landing a plane in a river aint exactly rocket science Sully.
STFU
Miracle or was it just Luck that day
I heard several autonomous sources say that Sully intentionally flew into those birds.
Does Sully know the report was a hoax?
I know we all tend to believe stories that confirm our prejudices, but how stupid do you have to be to believe this story in the Atlantic?
What is it with people not looking for the truth? And to think my grandson was almost named Sullivan and we were going to call him Sully. Thank the Lord they named him Rollan after my dad....
Sully did well, but now, what an A$$.
Hey, Sully! You were a good pilot, but you jumped the shark by mouthing off on this hoax from the get-go, as it has now been pretty much thoroughly debunked. Sully, you’ve been punked!
No one asked you, Sully!
Glorified bus driver that lands plane on the Hudson believes tripe written in The Atlantic. Did I get that correct? (No offense to airline pilots.)
I guess Trump never flew a plane into a flock of birds, so he’s got that going for him.
He has to genuflect to the left or they will blacklist him. He’s got book tours.
He could have made it back to the airport. They should have garnished his wages for the next 800 years.
Yep, he was cool under pressure and saved lives, I’m grateful but don’t tell me how to vote. :)
If he was a great pilot, he’d have landed at the airport instead of in the river....
” You were a good pilot”
He wasn’t that great of a pilot. He sure didn’t notice a massive flock of birds headed his way.
