Chesley Sully Sullenberger III, the retired pilot best known for successfully pulling off the Miracle on the Hudson, tore into President Trump in a series of Twitter posts Friday.
Mr. Sullenberger, who served in the U.S. Air Force before starting his civil aviation career, slammed Mr. Trump over disparaging remarks he reportedly made about service-members.
While I am not surprised, I am disgusted by the current occupant of the Oval Office. He has repeatedly and consistently shown himself to be completely unfit for and to have no respect for the office he holds, Mr. Sullenberger, 69, said on Twitter.

Sully:
Fly the plane.
STFU.
A visitor to the forum would not find that amusing.
Look, I have a great sense of humor, BUT good humor must have a twinge of truth to it, OR, more importantly, at least be FUNNY.
I know what the BEE is, however I have never read their work. If this is a sample, they would have to try harder.
Are we at FR being invaded?
Nah, know thy enemy. It’s more of an info grab so you can laugh at the absurdity of the stories out there. So much of this stuff is ludicrous.
In the BB arena it’s Hillary-ous.
Im starting to like Sully from Monsters, Inc. better.
Sully was an above average pilot. His credibily when speaking on any other subject is bar talk. Some NBA players make more sense.
Well, in the midst of all this Chaos, some people like a respite.
Around here the Babylon Bee is enjoyed because many of their “stories” are closer to the truth than anyone dares to think.
That being said, allow me to share a favorite quote from the Movie Harvey. JUST BECAUSE...
Elwood P. Dowd: Years ago my mother used to say to me, she’d say, “In this world, Elwood, you must be” - she always called me Elwood - “In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.” Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.
Well, I must admit, Kickass, your message to me did put a smile on my face.
Thanks.
He just sullied his own name.
Maybe he'd believe that its a phony story if the magazine was "The Hudson River Monthly"
Yes, he couldn’t have done it without good CRM. He then turned into a glory hound. I noticed and thought it quite disrespectful to not mention his crew members. Character fail.
Sully is undeniable proof that you can be both a hero and a jackass.
How about you stick to flying planes and let us decide how to vote for ourselves.
Thank you. Best compliment I’ve had all day.
If you haven’t seen the Movie Harvey, watch it. If you have, watch it again. It will make your day a little better, guaranteed. It’s my Wife’s favorite Movie.
They should make those malcontents Rioting in the Streets watch it (like in Clockwork Orange). It might change their disposition.
It’ll be a lot better than watching the news.
Regards
True colors.
**Miracle or was it just Luck that day**
There is bridge camera footage where you can notice how fortunate it was that there was no ferries and other boats in the middle of the river channel. It’s like they parted just for the jet. I mean, the thing was bookin at probably 150 kts on final. That not much time to notice it coming (especially when you are not watching for a river traffic coming from the heavens), and get out of the way if you are only moving at 20 kts.
God delivered them all.
Sully’s spent too much time with Tom Hanks.
Sully was a cool pilot because of his soaring experience. That doesnt mean he knows jack squat about political reality.
Dont diminish that achievement. It was great good fortune that Sully had experience flying and landing sailplanes, ie, gliders without power. .
He is another that does not like Trump defending the country from the socialists. They dish it out but cannot take any criticism. None at all.
