LetGo is now part of OfferUp; I wonder if OfferUp would now be the plaintiff here? I can’t imagine some lawyer can’t tie LetGo to this result.

Maybe there should be an urban version of these classified services called GetShot. You are REQUIRED to carry a weapon when buying and selling, or you get shot.

I’ve never used LetGo, or even looked at their website. But I would imagine that among they things that you do just before looking at any items for sale is click some box that indicates that LetGo has no liability - civil or criminal - for the actions of any of the parties who connect with each other on its site. I’ll bet that they also have plenty of $800/hour lawyers who wrote up that disclaimer, and who will drown any lawsuit in discovery requests, postponement requests, nonsense motions, etc., etc. That’s how that game is played, and if LetGo pays anything at all, it will be minimal and tied to a non-disclosure agreement. But I honestly expect them to pay nothing.
