I’ve never used LetGo, or even looked at their website. But I would imagine that among they things that you do just before looking at any items for sale is click some box that indicates that LetGo has no liability - civil or criminal - for the actions of any of the parties who connect with each other on its site. I’ll bet that they also have plenty of $800/hour lawyers who wrote up that disclaimer, and who will drown any lawsuit in discovery requests, postponement requests, nonsense motions, etc., etc. That’s how that game is played, and if LetGo pays anything at all, it will be minimal and tied to a non-disclosure agreement. But I honestly expect them to pay nothing.

That’s a good point; probably in the section where you click “I agree”. They would still have legal issues serving as a fence for stolen goods; the mutant who committed the murders then turned and listed the stolen car again (and that helped cops catch him).
