“Rarest planet in the universe may be lurking in Orion’s nose”

You might think that headline is funny but it’s snot...

If Proxima Centauri is gravitationally connected to Alpha Centauri, it is part of a three-star system, because Alpha Centauri is a double star. It is a lot closer.

Proxima Centauri B is in a triple star system right in our back yard, but it only revolves around one of the stars. I can imagine another little one out there somewhere, revolving around all three.

Isaac Asimov's "Nightfall" was about a planet with six suns, that only experienced night once every 2049 years. It can be heard here.

Or you could visit the Alpha Centauri triple system and save 1296 light years. What’s it like to live in a triple sun system - one possibility is presented in “The Three Body Problem” by Cixin Liu

Rarest planet in the universe?

But, but, but....the universe is supposedly infinite.

Not only should there be another planet just like this somewhere else, there should be an infinite number of them.
