A new and 'more secure' ID card in the works for active, National Guard, Reserves, Retirees and dependents are now being issued. We have until January 2026 to get the new cards.

Damn, just got a non-expiring retired ID in July (after a month wait).

I got a new military ID 5 years ago and it was different than the one that was replaced in that it doesn’t have my SSN on it. Instead, it has an ID number of some sort.
