Several professors are teaming up to demand that colleges do away with the concept of “standard English” as Americans know it today, in favor of accommodating “Black Language.”
The Conference on College Composition and Communication released a statement demanding reform of the linguistics used in higher education. The CCCC is an organization claiming to promote diversity among college campuses, by way of establishing “broad and evolving definitions of literacy, communication, rhetoric, and writing.”

English is understood all over the world
‘black language’ not so much. First because it’s an American-Black invention as a power-device, second, it’s impossible to standardize in America much less worldwide, and third, because it makes people sound ignant.

Exactly right. And once those lowered expectations are normalized, high expectations and high achievement will be despised, and then punished.
In SE Michigan there is a curious linguism used by blacks and working class whites, it is ‘Alls I’m saying’ for ‘All that I am saying is’. I could never find anyone who could tell me where this speech item came from.
They can listen to tapes of the “Amos ‘n’ Andy” radio show to study Black English from the first half of the 20th century.
It is past time for tenure to be abolished. These “professors” are responsible for the destruction of civilization in America. They should be fired and blacklisted...or perhaps, executed.
Ha ha! Love that show. Been a little to SJW over the past two years, but I still enjoy it.
This is such nonsense. The majority of “white” Americans’ ancestors spoke some language other than English, and had to learn it before, or when, they got here. Dutch, Swedes, Scots, Irish, Jews, Welsh, Germans, French, Spanish, Portugese speakers all settled here before the American Revolution.
Sort of reminds you of the “Tower of Babel”, doesn’t it?
Blacks are every bit as capable of learning and using standard English as any other racial group. Those @$$hole professors obviously feel otherwise.
