An Edmond, Oklahoma, police officer and Edmond firefighters rescued a man who became trapped under water, after his mower tipped over and fell into a pond.
Officer Chase Thackerson jumped in and held the mans head above water until firefighters arrived to help lift the mower, police said.
Watch the rescue in the video player above.
He looked like one happy camper
Some men run toward the rattle of musketry; some men run away.
Thank God for the first kind of man.
Scary
Looks like five white guys saving a black guy. If America was as racist as the Democrats want you to believe, they would’ve drowned him instead.
We have a large pond on our farm with steep embankments. After a few close calls I have allowed mother nature to take over the sides except for a few safer flat areas.
This never happened. A WHITE police officer would never save a BLACK man. /s
He looked Hispanic to me.
A local man had the same thing happen, only he had no one to rescue him, and died.
I’ve dug over a hundred ponds
First thing I ask, is if they want to mow the banks
Nothing steeper than a 5-1 slope if they do

Coal co was going to strip mine our land in 70’s but never did. Our pond was a settlement pond built by the coal co.so theydid not care about embankments. Our back field we have to cut the grass up and down, not sideways. If you cut sideways you will most likely tip over. Very steep appalachian hill country.
Wish we had flat ground oh well. People who see our ground love it. Dead end rd, closest neighbor 1/2 mile away. Lotta woods.
Do ever use Bentonite clay?
Never drive a zero turn radius mower on a slope
Week Eaters for slopes guys. Good exercise.
” First responders save man trapped under water after mower falls into pond”
DRAMA! HYPE!
“Trapped underwater” says to me, COMPLETELY underwater.
But, I know it couldn’t be if first responders saved his life unless of course they were already parked in his driveway.
Trapped under his lawn tractor in a pond, would be more accurate, but not as EXCITING!
A couple of times, but only in narrow trenches to stop side leakage from pond to nearby ditch
Sheepdogs are the former.
I don’t get it.
How does someone get trapped in an open air machine that you sit on?
Some things take talent, some are fluke. If he was sitting firmly in it and it suddenly tipped. Maybe. Lack of situational awareness too probably.
