One time a Republican lost the governors race in Maryland because every nursing home in the city of Baltimore voted 100% for the Democrat, many of the votes coming in late. She tried to take it to court, but the dominant Dems in Baltimore blocked her efforts for so long that it was just decided that it was too bad. Once a person wins an election, the illegal votes seem to still count.
The most we could ever expect is if a person is found to have forged illegal votes, he might be punished but the election would still stand. Something is wrong with this system.

In Indiana only a spouse or legal guardian (usually a family member) can assist a person to vote. In addition, each county has what is called a traveling board. It consists of two people: One from each party. They may be called to the home or nursing home to assist with the voting. Both must agree to the marked ballot and signature being authenticated. I know they also witness the X of people unable to write name. Unless directed by a family member they cannot fill out the ballot for individual

Yeah, that is so wrong. Maybe SCOTUS will change how that works.
