I have to agree. Biden looked in the camera & spoke directly to the people on numerous occasions. Not saying what he said was good, but he did make eye contact with the TV audience.
Biden didn’t drift off on tangents, was a lot more coherent than I thought he would be all the way up to the end. He finished his sentences/thoughts unlike I have seen many times on the trail. He was alert.
He went after Trump & for the most part didn’t let Trump bully him.
I think Trump missed a lot of opportunities. He scored some good points, but I don’t think he landed any knockout blows. He didn’t put Biden away.
I’m sure the media will hit him for not strongly disavowing White Supremacy (for the 100th time) when directly asked. He hesitated & pivoted into ANTIFA. The ANTIFA pivot was good, but not clearly disavowing WS wasn’t so good.
Two of my friends in Surrey, Canada also watched the debate. They think Trump knows facts and numbers, Biden was on his political lines. They felt Trump is passionate and Biden is a politician.
These friends have never been to the US. Completly outsider. I asked them to watch as a neutral party.
I dont think Trump likes for someone to demand that he say a certain thing. And the unfairness of nothing demanded of Biden.
Biden did better than expected, we shouldn’t have had such low expectations. Biden resorted to personal attacks whereas Trump didn’t.
I ran the tape back about Trump being asked about white supremacy if he were denounce it and Trump said sure and then he went on about antifa
