NFL stunner: Jags waive Fournette after failing to trade him

The Jaguars moved another step closer to purging Tom Coughlin's tumultuous tenure in Jacksonville.

The team waived running back Leonard Fournette on Monday, a stunning decision many outsiders view as the latest in a series of head scratchers that could help the franchise tank the season and get the No. 1 draft pick.

“If that’s the case, then the realization is if that happens, then I’m not going to be here," coach Doug Marrone said. "At the end of the day, if I don’t win enough games or do enough with this team, I don’t foresee me still being employed. I’m doing everything I can to make sure we have the best team to make sure we win football games. That’s as simple as I can be on it.”

How about banning Free Speech? I do not understand people who must comment on NFL threads how they do not watch the NFL. Yes, you are a much better human being than anyone who would watch sports. Stop virtue signaling. You sound just like a liberal.

This isn't a free-speech website. Posts and comments that do not reflect well upon its owner and/or the FR community are routinely deleted.

In the comment you are replying to I said nothing about not the NFL and/or watching sports in general.

But in fact I haven't watched ANY NFL football since Kaepernick took a knee. It wasn't Kaepernick so much for me as the support he immediately received from NFL brass. To my mind crowing about watching today's NFL is not very different from bragging about watching pornography.

It wasn't always like that for me. I had been a life-long Giants fan. I very rarely missed even a minute of any game they played from the early 50s to Kaepernick. Probably before you were born I was AT the win over the Bears in the '56 Championship Game. I was AT the game in 1959 where Summerall kicked the 49 yard field-goal in the snow to beat the Browns. I was AT the first Giants' Super Bowl Victory.

I'm still a Sports Fan. I'm just not a fan or supporter of people who hate America. (Mostly, these days, I've been watching Horse Racing and Golf.)

I think that is great. I am sure you are a sports fan.
Nobody likes Kraperneck. He is Ahole.

However, I do like watching football. So, I ignore the politics and try to enjoy the game. I enjoyed watching Mahomes and the KC Chiefs win the Super Bowl last year.
I also enjoyed watching the Patriots win a record 6 championships.

What I do not understand are the people who feel the need to tell us that they no longer watch the NFL. WE KNOW. You have been telling us for 3 years. That is YOUR choice. I am still going to watch.

I will be watching the Bruins tonight play hockey. I like playoff NHL hockey. I also like watching college Basketball.

I DO NOT CARE IF YOU ARE NOT WATCHING.

So, please stop commenting on NFL threads.

I do not watch the NBA. I also do not care if someone else does. I will not be commenting on any NBA threads that I no longer watch.

What I do not understand are the people who feel the need to tell us that they no longer watch the NFL.

I want them to be punished for destroying something I used to love. Sports used to be a thing that a bus driver could discuss man to man with Henry Kissenger. Now I would have to put up with something hateful to me every minute I would watch. BTW, I don't want you to watch MSM News or read the New York Times either, for essentially the same reasons.

I like playoff NHL hockey.

Playoff hockey doesn't happen in late August / early September. This is TRAINING CAMP TIME. (But I guess they fooled you. And BTW, I used to see Kissenger quite often at the Old Garden.)

IMO, If it weren’t for the annual Fl-Ga gig, there would be no need for a stadium in JAX.
