The Jaguars moved another step closer to purging Tom Coughlin's tumultuous tenure in Jacksonville.
The team waived running back Leonard Fournette on Monday, a stunning decision many outsiders view as the latest in a series of head scratchers that could help the franchise tank the season and get the No. 1 draft pick.
If thats the case, then the realization is if that happens, then Im not going to be here," coach Doug Marrone said. "At the end of the day, if I dont win enough games or do enough with this team, I dont foresee me still being employed. Im doing everything I can to make sure we have the best team to make sure we win football games. Thats as simple as I can be on it.

The number of people who care about NFL is getting smaller every year. Never mind conservatives. I still like lots of musicians who are progressive slash liberal same with some actors. Sports has never been big for me. I laugh at people who talk about their sports teams as we. That is the most ridiculous thing in the world. Other than being the only person in a car with the windows up wearing a plague mask.
I suspect that the NFL has been offered enormous sums of money by the deep state to offset the losses of fans and viewers. That money is funneled to them by advertisers and tv channels, who in turn have had money stuffed into their pockets by the DS.
Don’t matter that nobody is watching. They’ll just make it up. And several years from now, they’ll sweep the leagues under the rugs and all the useful idiot athletes will be on to making burgers and fries.
NFL action is like priority 7,999 on my list.
Prostitute Gladiators, getting paid King’s Ransoms for performing a child’ game.
What an utter waist of resources
“At the end of the day, if I dont win enough games or do enough with this team, I dont foresee me still being employed.”
Good thing that Doug Marrone is in a profession where people “fail up” all the time. The bad news for him is that it looks like it’s all crumbling before our very eyes.
Die, sportsball, die. Faster.
Jacksonville is one of the more conservative NFL markets. The local team has been rather unsuccessful overall. Given a prolonged boycott of the NFL, the franchise could collapse or be sold at a big loss.
I couldnt care less. I dont have time for a bunch of overpaid, BLM-loving, virtue-signaling, grievance-mongering SJWs.
I dont care if the nfl ever plays another game
I live in Jax....the city can wave the whole team as far as I’m concerned. Be looking time before they earn any of my hard earned money.
Oh and BTW in case anyone’s not aware fournette was just another troublemaker with a racial chip on his shoulder.
I was a huge Jags fan, but the NFL has beclowned itself to the dustbin of history. I’m done with pro sports, with college ball hot on its heels.
Nobody cares.
Gee...what a shame. I remember the NFL...they used to be something I’d enjoy on Sundays,Mondays and Thursdays.
NFL...relocate to Red China and GTFO.
When it went to Monday Night, it was the beginning of the end, it now became “entertainment” rather than “sport.”
I would not worry about it Coach. NFL ratings will tank again this year.
Fans have had it with the BLM movement and will find other ways to use
the time instead of watching NFL Football.
Celebrities don't do full length infomercials (unless they're the one selling you the makeup, cooking appliances, or workout devices).
Trade best Defensive player for draft picks and release top offensive player from last year.
Looks like the Jags have gone all in on Tanking for Trevor.
More than that. If it was the simple matter of that, they would have gotten a draft pick. I think I hear the magic three letters somehow wrapped up in this: BLM along with his buddy getting to call his own shots and getting a trade to Minn.
Now that they’ve waived him, I assume that means “fired” and they no longer have to pay him?
Time to ban stuff about the NFL on FR.
