I have been following the flooding in China and get inadvertant glimpses of internal political events now in process.

Apparently there is heavy friction surfacing between the old line communists in the CCP and those favoring growth and outreach of business.

It may very well be that Xi and the hardline communists really don’t care too much about business when the basic communism is threatened. The old men are tired of business as usual and capitalistic success. Hong Kong takeover is the proof. The successful businesses of Hong Kong are a threat to all the rest. The cancer is being cut out

As the President says.....”We’ll see”

Do they really care about ‘communism’ or is it really about the CC Party’s hold on power? I think it’s the latter. Can’t have the Chinese people thinking for themselves and wanting freedom. I don’t think they’re crushing Hong Kong for the business success, but rather the desire for freedom.
