As a culture and society we decided 18 was the best line between adult and minor. Of course you don’t go to bed one night as a child and wake up as an adult. It’s a process. But that is where we have drawn the line and I think it’s right.
Unless you’d like. 27 year old driving your bus, mixing chemicals, being drafted, entering contracts, getting the death penalty, drinking at the bar, working as a prostitute in Nevada, smoking recreational marijuana, making medical decisions, and all the other rights and responsibilities that come with adulthood.
Those who have not reached their majority are not sexual playthings for adults. Even if they “want” it, which is what all sexual predators say.
