There is some speculation about the head wound. It was not a large hole nor was it a thru-and-thru. The speculation is that Kyle did not shoot this guy, someone else with a smaller caliber weapon did. It may have been a stray bullet.
One would think that a 5.56 would make a big hole and probably carry thru and exit the skull.
5.56 would absolutely have split his head like a watermelon on the exit wound at close range.
I’m thinking that was a pistol shot. Might have even been “friendly fire” that killed the pedophile.
The 5.56 might fragment on entry, with nothing left big enough to complete the exit - just a blender effect from shrapnel inside the skull.
