Our side just has to be smarter about how we defend our communities.

Part of that process is being able to provide the legal defense support required to protect people like Kyle Rittenhouse. That means fund raising, public relations campaigns, political efforts, and everything else needed to ensure justice is done and prevent the kind of legal railroading that the Democrats are now using as a weapon against conservatives.

"Stop with the disinformation."

So you believe the kid lied in the interview.

No disinformation here or nonsense. Just questions, don't get offended.

Is this Militia group a Libertarian group?
Are the Libertarians supporting BLM positions?
Do Libertarians support demiliatrizing the Police?

A local Libertarian leader in my areas supports BLM (defund police) is the reason I ask. There are others here who are quick to condeme the police is another reason I ask. The article below is another reason I ask.

Why libertarians are joining BLM calls to defund police

Fyi, what you described is how things work in my home county in rural northeast Texas AND also at our family’s “Mountain Lair” in the eastern WV mountains.

Not long ago our NETX neighbor, Pastor Johnny Mac B__________, captured a pair of “night prowling thieves” on our family farm about 0100 hours on a Tuesday morning & held them at shotgun point until the Constables arrived.
(One of the Constables told the thieves that they were LUCKY to not have been shot by the pastor.)

YES, between dusk & dawn we Texans CAN lawfully shoot prowlers on private property (BOTH LEOs & civilians may do so.) AND “use any necessary force up to & including deadly force” against FELONS, if the felony is committed in the defender’s presence at ANY time, day or night.

Yours, TMN78247

Sadly, I agree with that.

I feel bad for him. He wanted to do right, but his inexperience and poor planning allowed himself to get separated, and put himself in a situation where he had to defend himself.

Tough lesson to learn at the age of 17.

He is going to learn with Nick Sandmann learned: When the Left wants to destroy your reputation to suit their political purposes, they turn the “Leftist War Machine” on you.

I’m going to pray for him. The scum he shot can rot in Hell.

And if I could be on that jury, I would hang it unless they have information I don’t.

No question there.

Fyi, I pay 13.80 per month for self-defense insurance with TX Law Shield which covers me in all 50 States.
(My householder’s policy includes coverage for GOOD shootings for self/home defense & also covered my guard dog until her passing of old age.)
TX Law Shield’s toll-free number: 877-448-6839.
(NO, I don’t work for them.)

Yours, TMN78247

I use Second Call Defense.
$34.95 per month for their, “Elite Plan.”
https://www.secondcalldefense.org/plans-and-pricing

They even offer aftermath cleanup...to remove the home invader’s brain matter off your walls.

I take a legal class at least once a year to try to keep current on chp laws. Even in CO it is difficult with different cities having slightly different laws. And ofc Denver. One point they make is just because you can legally shoot does not mean you should shoot.

Is this Militia group a Libertarian group?

I would not assume it is a "Militia". At one point some of the people defending a gas station said they were libertarians, and not against the BLM people who were yelling at them at the time. Without talking to them away from a yelling violent mob it is hard to know if that is totally true or just a way to defuse the situation.

If they turn out to be card carrying members of the Libertarian party what difference does it make? Would it make a difference if they were Republicans?

I have seen one photograph that alleges Ryan Rittenhouse attended a Trump rally. If the photograph is legitimate then he could just as well be characterized as a Trump supporter. Or at least somebody who wanted to experience a Trump rally.

Are the Libertarians supporting BLM positions?

I didn't see anything on their website about the topic. Individual people with libertarian viewpoints, like conservatives, probably support some of the supposed BLM positions. But Libertarians would be expected to wholly reject the left wing foundations of BLM, along with its basic premise.

In 2015 the party published the following:

The Libertarian Party applauds the efforts of Campaign Zero to go beyond merely protesting the injustices perpetrated by law enforcement on citizens of the United States to proposing specific, well thought-through changes in government policy. They include:

Prohibiting excessive use of police force

Ending the use of military equipment by police

Ending ‘policing for profit’ where law enforcement agencies get to keep the assets they seize from citizens in police raids,

Giving citizens the authority to set policing policies in their communities,

Requiring body cameras on police,

and Ending protections written into union contracts that put police above the law.

Do Libertarians support demilitarizing the Police?

See above. But remember, individual people who support libertarian ideas don't necessarily agree with every aspect of the Libertarian Party platform, any more than everybody who is a Republican supports every Republican candidate or supports every Republican platform topic.
