Fully agree
This clip does look like self-defense. The guy was running and being chased by multiple people, one of which had a Glock.
I guess we’ll find out how the first guy got shot.
Lots of stupid all around in this clip.
I'm not sure what this has to do with the topic at hand.
... a young man exercising his rights and trying to prevent further damage and looting?
The kid would have a much stronger legal leg to stand on if he was actually defending the home or business of a family member. Otherwise, may just be a knucklehead who has spent too much time playing video games.
Do you have a problem with police or FBI agents crossing state lines?
In many cases, yes. I've said for years, in fact, that most of the crimes investigated by the FBI shouldn't even be Federal crimes.
Have to be 18 to possess a firearm in WI unless hunting. Illinois too, and he has to have an FOID. So possession was illegal in WI, probably in IL. And how did a 17 year old acquire a rifle?
What gun charge? Whoever provided the firearm is the one in trouble here.
Wisconsin is an open carry state.
There is a Wisconsin statue prohibiting possession by a minor, unless hunting. It is a class A misdemeanor.
Providing a firearm to a minor, when the minor discharges the firearm and death results, is a class D felony.
Actually you can, parent or guardian has to give permission which includes accepting legal liability.
Hunters from Illinois travel to Wisconsin to hunt every year.
And if asked they better have a valid hunting license or just travel through Illinois. And ironically a non resident cannot get an FOID unless military or required to carry on the job. Or an acceptable concealed carry license
He lived in Illinois directly across state lines. 12 miles from Kenosha.
If I’m on the jury; yes.
Apparently this is not a Teen but a white boy. They weren’t checking their style book. If it were a Teen and he got arrested he would be released without charge already.
That will make a interesting case charge him as an adult for the murder and as a minor for the firearm.
Yes. Do you remember when open carry would get you a disturbing the peace arrest in places like Milwaukee despite the Attorney General’s prohibition. Nothing like running up fees for local attorneys. I think I read this boy got a public defender in IL, for extradition. He’s going to need a very good, expensive one in WI.
I observed the video of the shooting and from what I saw it was Self Defense. The shooter was under attack by a couple of thugs when he pulled the trigger.
What is it with these local jurisdictions? they want their populace to be sitting ducks and victims with No Rights.
These Thugs destroying Wisconsin are no more than Nazi Brown shirts in the wrong uniform.
Kid’s not going to be convicted of any kind of murder in Kenosha Co., which is mostly represented by Republicans in the state legislature, especially because this whole thing is rapidly becoming a legal clusterf**k, just like the Twin Peaks mass shooting in TX a few years ago where, in spite of ten dead, there were no convictions.
Care to elaborate on that statement? Im familiar with the town. For the most part, good people there, have some Chicago section 8 transplants housed in the north end of town, courtesy of Shortshanks Daley tearing down the projects. Otherwise typical small Midwest town with lots of lakes and great fishing.
Ive seen two pictures of the attackers and they were both crackers. If all the attackers that were shot are crackers that isnt going to make for good optics for the fakestream media. That will show that this was just a pretext for white anarchists/Biden supporters to go on a rampage designed to intimidate.

Best of all there were a lot of black citizens of Kenosha demonstrating against the white Antifa rioters who’d gone any burned down black businesses. Lots of luck getting those good folks to vote to convict a white kid who’d offed a couple of the Antifa rioters.
