One look at George Conway in various photos during the 2016 campaign and the transition period -- when he was actually a Trump supporter -- told me that the guy was a weird dude and a mess long before now. That didn't stop Kellyanne from marrying him.

I think he looks like a genetic fusion of Chris Christie and Michael Cohen.

Here's my theory about what happened between these two after November 2016:

1. Conway was rumored to be a top candidate for the U.S. Solicitor General post. This would have worked well for both of them, since Kellyanne was already a political consultant with a long track record in D.C.

2. Conway didn't get a job in the Trump administration -- perhaps because Kellyanne stayed on in the White House someone determined that there would be a conflict of interest with a U.S. Solicitor General who is married to another Federal employee.

3. Without a job in Washington he had to stay with his law firm in NYC. This left the family with Kellyanne in Washington, George in NYC, and the children in one place or another. Their parents were effectively separated even if they never made it "official."
