Having owned many hunting labs that is what labs love to do swim and hunt.
The both the dog and the owner both needed better training.

Some dogs don’t have to be taught how to swim or hunt, because the instinct is still strong.
Most do need some training on when to do things, where and for how long. I’ve never owned such a breed.
In that case, she'll be at it again if she gets another chance to jump in the river after ducks. Labs are obsessive compulsive like that.
