This is heartbreaking. But in many big cites it is (or soon will be) the new normal.

Unpossible. Guns are nearly, virtually disallowed in NYC.

Really sad....
I hated this crap before this story. I'm beginning to loose my head. Note to self: Pray for strength, wisdom, guidance, right action, self control, justice. Victory will follow.

Stray bullets? As in peaceful protesting bullets?

Can Americans protest with bullets?

As long as they wear masks you say?

Actually, I pray for the couple and I won’t hold them responsible. You see, it’s Rudy’s fault. He turned NYC into a place where one could safely walk the streets and this young couple had never experienced the neighborhoods where “stray” bullets had once been the norm.

Back in the early 80s visiting a relative South of Houston Street (SOHO) before it was trendy, about 6 blocks from the Village, I was not allowed to go out and walk by myself anywhere without being accompanied by residents who were ‘known’. Once while walking towards the Village, a block of concrete exploded behind us. Someone from a floor above had discharged a handgun onto the sidewalk. I was told to walk calmly but pick up the pace.

ALL DEMON-RAT governors, senators, mayors and congressional members have BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS and should be arrested from r allowing this rioting, race baiting and defunding of the police. Oh, and I forgot the thousands of criminals they sprung from prison and for not allowing our President to help with these guerrilla warfare commies who are destroying cities, burning people’s businesses and BLOCKING TRAFFIC... including pulling People from theirvehicles and beating them unconscious!
They are complicit and are condoning it.
They all need to be arrested!

Just rolled thru that neighborhood twice last week. Two more years with this mayor. Good luck, NY.

Has Bloomberg, Gabby Giffords, Moms Demand Action, David Hogg, and all the other gun control groups denounced this yet?

The last name tells me they were in or near Greenpoint, perhaps. Almost 30 years ago, I was visiting a family in Brooklyn, and their 12 year old boy was robbed of his new bike at knifepoint in an area between Williamsburg and Greenpoint. The area gentrified since then, but appears to be returning to default.

“Husband is left paralyzed after being hit by stray bullet when he insisted on walking to the store with his new wife to hold her umbrella in gentrified Brooklyn”

Obviously don’t know anything more about this couple, but MANY ‘woke’ people live in gentrified areas of ‘the city’ to ‘send a message’ to others. In most cities, that means you’re holed up in an apartment complex, needing to drive if you even want to go to a drug store 2 blocks away. But in NYC, they did have a brief period where people were safe to be outside, at least in certain areas (this being one of them). But now that’s history.

these horror stories of Wilhelm Destroyer of NYCity
are NEVER PUBLISHED in the USA.
this is from the UK.

in the USA, the MSM lies and says: “everything is
peaceful and mostly perfect.”

My sympathies to the victim.

However, the probability that this couple is woke is very high, given where they live.

People need to learn the hard way to vote differently. Unfortunately, this is the human condition.

Truly tragic. They have so much of their lives ahead of them. Even though the husband can’t walk he still stands tall in my book.

I think NYC is going to produce a LOT more votes for the Republican candidate in this Presidential election, than usual.

(I doubt it will be enough steer NY State as a whole for Trump, but I think it will be significant compared to past numbers.)

What a difference a year makes. Just a year ago, I was discussing how Brooklyn was rapidly becoming the new Manhattan.
