Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to electing Joe Biden president, but said the Democratic nominees victory in November would be followed by a serious debate about the direction of the country.
Were going to come together to defeat Trump, Sanders told "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah on Friday. And the day after Biden is elected, were going to have a serious debate about the future of this country, but it will be done within the framework of a democratic society.
The Vermont senators remarks presage a coming push by progressives to wield more influence in the Democratic Party and within a potential Biden administration.

What youre seeing now is what I would call a united front of people of many different points of view, Sanders told Noah. You have some honest conservatives who are saying 'you know what, Im a conservative, but we gotta get rid of this guy because he is just not what America is supposed to be about.' And youre working with progressives. So this is what coalition politics is about.

Feel the Bern! LOLOLOLOL
You. Owe. Me!
If Biden wins, we’ll have something serious all right
Yep. Another house won’t do it this time.
"Waiting for Godot Slow Joe"
a. throw tantrums
b. riot, loot
c. call everyone racist
d. all of the above
Sounds like somebody wants more free shit.
What an oxymoron! To campaign as a moderate, that is to deceive the country about one's true intentions only to govern as a radical, is hardly within the "framework" of a democratic society because the manner in which the people will truly be governed has never been put to them.
The remark demonstrates that Bernie Sanders and progressives in general will have no more respect for the legitimacy of a Joe Biden presidency than they have had for the legitimacy of the Donald Trump presidency. If we are electing a president and, God help us if it be Joe Biden, his policies are not up for a second debate or referenda done until progressives win a final election of their liking. Those policies are subject to the checks and balances of the federal Constitution but not to the hidden agenda of the deep state or a shadow radical leftist cabal.
The consequences of the progressive dismissal of the legitimacy of a Biden presidency is to commit the country to endless civil and political strife. In effect we will have a Regency rather than a presidency until one faction or another is able to seize control of Biden or simply remove him.
Within months the left will begin eating its own. The country itself will be the main course on the menu.
Bernie may sound lik he is running the show but if Biden gets elected, Bernie will find himself very low on the totem pole. None of his ideas will get implemented much less heard. They might but those behind Biden already have a different agenda.
I loathe Trevor Noah
Bernie still trying to sound relative?
It would be interesting to watch two fools debating; a porn author and a demented candidate.
A debate about where The Berns next house will be.
The day after an election where Biden wins, Bernie will lose access to Joe.
Bernie the Cuck - I hear his wife talked him into her wishes for a threesome - when he walked into the bedroom, there were two strange guys .....
I remember someone sending around some “lockdown video” of his (I think it was some time after George Floyd’s death) where he was trying to impart his brand of wisdom about the racial climate of the times. He came off sounding so impressed with himself.
Such a poseur.
Biden maybe doesn’t know who Bernie is. Someone else will make that decision.
I thought Progressives always wanted to have a ‘conversation’.
“..Someone else will make that decision....”
That’d be the Soros/Slim/Obama shadow government.
They’ll be calling ALL the shots....and already have been for awhile now.
You think Biden himself picked “Heels Up”, especially the grilling the vile beotch gave him during the primaries? Hardly. Can you spell CORRUPTION? I knew you could.
