I recall reading something - probably here - about T cells perhaps conferring some resistance to Covid-19 in people who had encountered previous Corona viruses. I can’t find that specific article, now; but this seems related:

I recall reading something - probably here - about T cells perhaps conferring some resistance to Covid-19 in people who had encountered previous Corona viruses.

T-cell immunity seems to be important in respiratory virus infections in general, including SARS. This paper is from 2018:

The CD8 T Cell Response to Respiratory Virus Infections

This excerpt from the text speaks to the cross-protection of different strains:

...robust memory CD8 T cell responses efficiently reduced lung viral titers in the absence of neutralizing antibodies following RSV, IAV, or SARS secondary infections. An important property of CD8 T cells is that they often recognize conserved viral proteins, allowing for cross-protection between different virus strains.

So, it's possible that people who have been previously exposed to a similar coronavirus might have a much better immune response to COVID-19.

I’m 66 years old, now; and in young to early-adult life, I seemed to catch everything that was going around. Over the past 30 years, I haven’t caught much at all - except in late 2017, when my boss flew back from Mexico with an illness, and seemed to transfer to me the longest fever and most debilitating ‘flu that I’ve ever experienced.

If I survived that, I can probably survive this - whatever it is. I’m not going out and inviting it; but I’m not allowing myself to be afraid, or enclosing myself in bubble-wrap, either.

I have no problem with going to the grocery store or pharmacy; and I’d have no problem with going to my local polling location and VOTING.

In a 2 hour show, it would be nice to note that the relevant issue is discussed about 16 minutes into the show...and thank you for the link.

There are the exceptions of those who get violent when told to wear a mask, or think its acceptable to have one connected to their ears, but pulled down under their chin, or those who think its totally acceptable to lower a mask below their nose. Not to mention those who are unkind to an honest forgetfull person. The great response is the guy/gal who says, if everyone else is wearing a mask, why do I need to. Of course the answer is that a mask block contact with surfaces, those would be other peoples bodies, bathroom surfaces, cash (a big one), and surfaces touched by others.
This of course is predicated on the belief that you buy the whole pandemic. Regardless of its source, I believe its real, and so choose to conform if I can.

I think that if we refused to be tested, unless we have symptoms. It would reduce the numbers, and flattens the curve. It would clearly illustrate, that the reason the numbers are high is because people in America participating in the testing. The results are a direct result of people being tested, and the results being turned into a political football, manipulated to say whatever you want.

Hydroxychloroquine and zinc, used in early stages is extremely effective. The results are overwhelming, yet the Dems are shooting it down. Many are unaware that the vaccine suggested by Fauchi is part owner of Remdicivire(I think that’s the name). He is a useful idiot for the left, and is in my opinion, a criminal, directly linked to big money.

Well, you asked.

One problem with that is the tests take 4-5 days to get back; if you’ve had symptoms, then waited your turn to be tested, you can be deathly sick by the time the HCQ-Z is approved. It should be taken at the first symptoms for maximum effect.
